Books and Bagels Goes Virtual!

Books and Bagels is a joint project between Ankeny High School, Ankeny Centennial, and Kirkendall Public Library. For the 2021-22 school year, we will be meeting in person. We will meet the last Friday of each month from 7:45-8:15am in the ACHS Media Center.

During our meetings, students visit with others about the books they are reading. We do not require everyone to read the same book. Rather, we share with each other and help build each other’s TBR list! Teagan, the YA Librarian from Kirkendall Public Library will bring bagels for us to share together while we discuss books.

Iowa High School Battle of the Books

High school students from across the state of Iowa are invited to participate in the Iowa High School Battle of the Books. Form a team of up to 6 students in grades 9-12, talk to Mr. Honz,  and read the books!

Iowa High School Book Award
